TACOMA’S BEST SHORT NINE

Tacoma’s best Short Nine course is the Highlands, just west of 21st & Pearl, near the Narrows Bridge. It’s a beautiful place for a quick game of golf. Particularly popular with juniors, seniors, and high handicap players, many low handicappers find it the perfect place to practice their short game. Eight of its holes are par 3s, ranging from 100 to 187 yards. The other is a 250-yard par 4. It’s ideal for tournaments where beginners and accomplished players compete together. The course also has active Men’s and Women’s Clubs with regular competitive opportunities. It may not be very long but it isn’t short on either challenges or fun.
